I do it all. Get my valuable input on everything from politics to music to movie quotes to my favorite tv shows and websites. I'll add some things about home, family, marriage, kids, cooking. It's everything you never wanted to know about my crazy life.

Friday fives were started on JU by Miguna, taken over by LW and this week I'm having a go at it.  Actually they aren't my questions but are questions I picked from a site called brain candy.  So let's hear your answer JU.

1. If you had to have one piece of music softly playing in your mind for the rest of your life, what would you want it to be?

2. Which sport would you most like to play professionally?

3. What do you believe is the greatest unsolved mystery of all?

4.  What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for anyone?

5. What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subject?

5. Computer programming...I do have a Bachelor's of Science in it after all.

4. Written a poem, probably poorly, or gotten a really good greeting card.

A poorly written poem means more than buying a good greeting card.  It's the thought that counts.

1. If none is an option I'll take that, otherwise my life would probably very short.

I have to admit that it really would probably drive you crazy no matter how much you like the song or how softly it played.

Tunguska

1. If you had to have one piece of music softly playing in your mind for the rest of your life, what would you want it to be?

Ooh, ooh, I want to change mine to "over analysis".

It involved warm oil, a box of toys, satin sheets, and a weekend of room service.

How romantic can G.I. Joe figures and Go-bots be???

1. If you had to have one piece of music softly playing in your mind for the rest of your life, what would you want it to be?

This is tricky, because I tend to go through phases with my musical tastes. At the moment it would be The Arcade Fire's Intervention, which I am absolutely obsessed with at the moment, to the point where I'll play it on repeat for an hour or more. I think I'd get tired of it eventually though.

2. Which sport would you most like to play professionally?

Sailing. Fitness and a fair paycheck without really having to get up early. Perfect. I'd need to gain a hell of a lot of coordination and much more fit though before I had the slightest chance of being pro at it though.

3. What do you believe is the greatest unsolved mystery of all?

The mystery of the golden decanter.

4. What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for anyone?

I'm no great romantic, but it's probably serenading my intended in public with a reinterpretation of Regina Spektor's reinterpretation of Lennon's Real Love. It wasn't sexy (we were both laughing uncontrollably by the end as I murdered the last few bars and the odd looks from strangers weren't helping) but it was about as romantic as I've ever been.

5. What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subject?

I'm a generalist, so I don't have much in the way of specialities, but I know a lot about the collected works of Terry Pratchett, if only because I've read all of his books several times. Practical knowledge: probably Indonesian semantics or ASEAN politics.

Professional sleeping.

What is the actual shelf life, in millions of years, of a Twinkie?

4. What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for anyone?

I once let a woman have the last slice of pizza.

5. What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subject?

1. If you had to have one piece of music softly playing in your mind for the rest of your life, what would you want it to be?

It would probably be one of Gomez's songs as they're my most favourite band of all time (and one of the most under-rated bands in the world IMHO).

2. Which sport would you most like to play professionally?

Skateboarding

3. What do you believe is the greatest unsolved mystery of all?

Hmm, how all the fluff ends up in my navel

4. What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for anyone?

Marrying my wife on our favourite beach is probably it.

5. What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subject?

About the only thing I know better than anyone else is myself. Not really a 'subject' I know but I'm not particularly scholarly. Thinking about it, I do know a fair bit about writing and recording music, I suppose.

3. What do you believe is the greatest unsolved mystery of all?

What is the actual shelf life, in millions of years, of a Twinkie?

A serious mystery requiring the commitment of large tracts of money from NIH for the establishment of a Center for Twinkie Research Development.

Does anyone still eat Twinkies? I think I had my last one when I was 8...used to scoop out the cream filling with a Hershey bar. My teeth hurt thinking about it.

4. What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for anyone?

I once let a woman have the last slice of pizza.

That's serious romance, Dude... Brings a tear to my eye.

1. If you had to have one piece of music softly playing in your mind for the rest of your life, what would you want it to be?

Water Night, Eric Whitacre. Sadly, this video truncates the song a bit. Tragedy, because it's the best sounding vid I could find on YouTube.

2. Which sport would you most like to play professionally?

Curling. Especially if I can have those two sisters that used to be on the American team on my equipo with me. They were gorgeous.

3. What do you believe is the greatest unsolved mystery of all?

Why do people think that a succession of rhymed phrases constitutes poetry, when there is no meter, no rhythm, and frankly - no talent.

4. What is the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for anyone?

So I was dating this girl, and I wanted to surprise her with something nice. So I stuffed some pillows, blankets, and a thermos full of hot cocoa in the back of my truck. I also made a mix tape of all her favorite love and slow dance songs. Then I blindfolded her, led her out to the car, drove around in circles for awhile until she was thoroughly lost, and took her to a beautiful wooded park up by our University. We then went for a romantic moonlit walk around the duckpond, and when we reached the car again, I broke out the cocoa, rolled down the window, and we danced in the parking lot. Then we climbed into the bed of the truck, cuddled up in the blankets and pillows, watched the stars, and 'talked'.

5. What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subject?

Sexiness. Oh, and Spanish Literature from the early 20th century. But mostly sexiness.
