1. All Amelia Peabody mysteries by Elizabeth Peters

2. Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott Dell - my favorite book when I was a kid

4. The Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver

5. Who Do You Love - Jean Thompson - a collection of short stories

6. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - Betty Smith - classic and inspirational

7. A Walk Across America - Peter Jenkins

8. A Walk In the Woods - Bill Bryson - hilarious

my problem is I read a book and three days later cannot remember if I have read it, or even what it is about. Dreadful.

Dreadful.

That isn't good. Sometimes I will read a book and get a few chapters in before it dawns on me that I've read it before. Luckily, I am mainly a library person. If I spent money on a book, I had already read I would probably be irritated. It mainly happens when I find a new author I love and search out their other books and I tend to have a few repeats after a while. I should keep a running list of all books I read.

I read #7 and it was excellent!

I don't remember to many kid books 'cept Watership Down and Charlotte's Web which were very good.

Then there's Catcher in the Rye and Lord of the Flies and the Grapes of Wrath and of course my all time favorite Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance as well as its sequal Lila...

AHHHH!!!! THERE'S NO PLACE TO STOP!!!

"Kalki" by Gore Vidal. Written in the first person female. A white, blonde American man says he's the reincarnation of the Hindu god Kalki, and at a certain time he'll become Siva and destroy the world, which he does, in a sense and the story continues after that.

"Sybil" by Flora Rheta Schreiber

"Letters From the Earth" by Mark Twain

Oh, yeah. "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell

I also have two books about Buffy.

I like pretty much everything I've read....if I don't like a book I usually never finish it...unless I'm having a test on it, which still doesn't mean I'll finish it. I really can't pick any favorite books...they're all good in their own way....that and I forget the titles to half of them.

Mine are easy.  Foundation Trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Dune, Childhood's End, Caves of Steel, The Hobbit.

10 comes fast.

I loved Island of the Blue Dolphins when I was a kid. I need to reread it.

And Tess of the D'ubervilles, ah I have never met anyone else who loved this book besides me. I still have the copy I bought when I did my senior English paper on Thomas Hardy way too many years ago. I need to reread that one as well.

Not sure if I could narrow my favorites to ten. I have way too many!
